The Aliens can be described as a stranger. Affinity is liking or having a sympathy for someone or something, especially because of shared characteristics. When you are attracted to someone or something a great deal. Affinity implies a susceptibility or predisposition on the part of the one drawn.
Strangers to God are people who neither have relationship or fellowship with the almighty God, but rather severed their relationship, because of the pleasure of sins and cares of this world.
Having friendship with God’s enemies will surely bring the judgement of God on such person. We must never forget that sin is God’s enemy and Satan’s friend. Sin is so serious that it caused Jesus Christ to leave Heaven’s glory and came to the world to die as the final and complete sacrifice for our sins. We must not take sin lightly, but repent of it when it rears its ugly head, and with God’s help cast it out.
Those who want to be friends with the world make themselves the enemies of and strangers to God. This Scripture does not say that our family members, colleagues and friends who are not believers should be avoided like a plague.
Those who want to be friends with the world make themselves the enemies of God. 2 Cor. 6:14 says, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” Remember that King Jehoshaphat was almost killed because of his affiliation with the backslidden and evil King Ahab.
The question is, who is your friend? Godly friends help you through the hard times (spiritually, physically, emotionally, and economically). “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Gal 6:2) They pray for you “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another that you may be healed.” (Jam 5:16) They point you to Christ “but exhort one another daily.” (Heb 3:13).
The friendship a child of God keeps will either make or mar his life and fellowship or walk with God. Brethren, keep friendship with true children of God who hate sins and love righteousness. Remember that there is no relationship between light and darkness, between the temple of God and idol. 2 Cor. 6:15 “And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?”
Above all, keep friendship with the ever loving and compassionate Jesus Christ our Lord and Master. He is the only one who cannot and will not disappoint you. Every other man can fail, but Jesus never fails.
What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Hold my hands “my Master and friend.” Is that your prayers? May you receive heaven’s attention and help as you remain focused on Master Jesus in the journey of year 2025, in the name of Jesus.
Shalom!
