Today’s message talks about how we have been Anointed and positioned for a purpose that God has ordained from the beginning and to fail NOT to see the purpose for which we are living. Psa 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows and proclaims His handiwork.”
Rom 1: 20-21 – For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made. So men are without excuse. Because when they knew and recognised Him as God, they did not honour and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks, but instead, they became futile and godless in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened.
There are so many different things that we go through on a day-to-day basis, yet we usually forget about the things that matter the most in this life. How many of us on a daily basis recall the goodness of God and the awesomeness of God?
How many of us contemplate on the things of God and then give honour and reverence and pay homage to God for just being God? How many of us are real with God in spite of all He is doing for us?
In Psa 19 we see that God’s manifested presence has been made manifest to us for His glory and in that we are to delight in God’s majesty and praise Him based upon Him being the Most High God. Yet in Romans we see that we do just the opposite! We are all guilty of being ignorant of the manifested presence of God!
Usually, we get into our troubles! We want to start somewhere else other than at the beginning! We want to circumvent what God has ordained in order to come to our own destination and purpose, however, Isa 61:1 says “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me…and no matter how we try to get around and wiggle our ways in and out, we will run into “The SPIRIT OF THE LORD GOD”
In this day and time the beginning of anything is the Lord God; for the Bible says in Psa 111: 10 that “The reverent fear and worship of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom” in order to do anything in this physical world and end up with conditions favourable to our circumstances, we must have wisdom! This is the reason that when we start something we not just jump into it! We have to seek God to find out precisely God’s will for our lives in that situation! This is something that we don’t do; if we fail to properly assess this issue, we can safely say that this is the beginning of the ignorance of God’s manifested presence. Don’t worry we are going somewhere, God is leading us to a place of worship and praise like never before.
Now, let’s get back, “The Spirit of the Lord God IS UPON ME …”, now let’s deal with that! First we just learned that we must start at the beginning and that is the Spirit of God, now we further learn that when we start at the beginning (the Spirit of God), we can receive that Spirit. The same essence that God breathed into Adam at the genesis of his life, that same Spirit that hovered over the water, the same Spirit that moves mountains, the same Spirit that calms seas, that VERY same Spirit is available to us IF we can recognise the validity and purpose of its inauguration in our lives.
So many times we go through life defeated, confused, upset, depressed and stressed out. So many times we simply roll over and say “devil, kick me again, I’m down and I’m out and I’m tired.” We don’t even come to the knowledge that we posses the very presence of God and it’s at our disposal anytime that we need it! God has made His presence manifest in our life and our ignorance keeps us from enjoying the bounty that God has provided for us simply because He loves us.
Are you born again? Are you a child of God? If yes, which position are you occupying now? Have you ever asked yourself why you are in that position? Well, I want to inform and encourage that, we are in whatever position for a purpose.
Our tasks should be to discover and fulfill the specific purpose ordained for us. If you don’t discover it, the devil may defeat the purpose and that will be terrible. Mordecai helped Esther to discover her purpose of being in the king’s palace. What is your purpose of being alive? What is your purpose of being in the kingdom? Discover your divine purpose for living and fulfill it. Be an helper don’t be a hindrance to God-given purpose of others. Lord, I will. Will you?
