The Unfailing Promises of God

God’s promises are certain, real and realisable. Gen 46:27 reminds us that God is perfect. But when God makes a promise, He is perfect, and He always keeps it. “The Lord is faithful to ALL His promises and loving toward ALL He has made”(Psa 145:13). For our God is not a man neither the son of man to lie or fail in His promises. He enjoins us to call unto Him in the day of trouble and He will answer and even show us great and mighty things we don’t know. But those promises must be possessed through prayers. A prayerless believer will suffer unexpectedly, unnecessarily and probably out ignorance. For many people are destroyed or downcast due to ignorance or inadequate knowledge or information.

“What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grieves to bear; what a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.” A song writer warned us of needless pains, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
What pains are you passing through? Take it to God in prayer. He will not fail or disappoint you. God will wipe your tears away. Don’t keep quiet but take it calmly to God in prayer and you will have adversities turned to joy and celebration.

Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness- in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Saviour ” (Tit 1:1-3)

A promise is an allegiance pledged by somebody to his fellow man. We become very happy when our loved ones fulfill their promises to us, but it is worth noting that these promises from people can fail while the promise from God is unfailing and pleasing.

God through His pure and undiluted word has given us certain promises that give us hope and joy. When we want to give up as Christians, our faith is strengthened and renewed through these awesome promises. These unfailing promises of God are:

1. God has promised to graciously accept all repentant sinners through the sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (Eph 1:6; Col 3:3)

2. God has promised us eternal life (Jn 5:24) and abundant life (Jn 10:10) through Christ Jesus. This covers not only our final destination in heaven but also our present Christian service here on earth.

3. We are promised the Holy Spirit to dwell and help us. (Jn14:16).

Brethren, let’s cheer up and remain steadfast in prayer to our merciful, limitless Father and compassionate God and He will show up at His appointed time to glorify Himself. God has plans for my life. Jer 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” God can be trusted. Heb 10:23 says: “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)” Your miracle is on the way.

Have a glorious Sunday worship!

Shalom!
